Tanning Lotions: Lewie’s Tanning Lotions: Indoor tanning lotion
An Overview Of Tanning Lotions

Tanning lotion has become very common in society today. It is especially popular in Caucasian communities because of the melanin factor. Tanning seeks to avoid the effects of ultraviolet rays unlike in sunscreens which are to block the penetration of these rays. A tanning lotion will darken the skin through the production of melanin. One of the common ingredients in the lotions is melanin itself and others that facilitate the full production of it. Basically, the ingredients are meant to increase blood flow to the skin to make the production of melanin easy.
An indoor tanning lotion will definitely give a user what they desire which is that darkening effect of the skin. When you use these tanning lotions, there will be no protection from the harmful effects of the sun and it is wise to avoid the sun if you do not wear sunscreen. A tanning lotion upon being applied will give you a tingling effect and this is the signature feeling that wearers can expect. However, not all people will experience this because different people respond differently to the ingredients in the lotions. There are those ingredients in the lotion that can be referred to as major.
Bronzers: The Major Ingredients
Most tanning lotions will have bronzers as part of their ingredients and they are commonly seen as the major ingredients apart from melanin. Bronzers can also be referred to as DHA which stands for dihydroxyacetone. With a combination of other ingredients, they are able to achieve what is referred to as a sunless tan. This is because people can either use a tanning lotion or they can use the sun to darken their skin. There are two major kinds of bronzers which are hot and cool bronzers. The cool bronzers are combined with menthol for a cooling effect. Hot bronzers are combined with ingredients that cause a tingle.
A tanning lotion can leave the skin dry and looking unhealthy and for this reason, many lotions are being made with moisturizers in them. Therefore, as you look for suitable lotions, it is vital to go for that tanning lotion that has moisturizer in it. Ingredients used to moisturize are those present in different hand and body lotions. Those that have less alcohol are suitable for proper and sufficient moisturizing. It is important to take all the precautions that come with these lotions. For example, avoid the sun because they are not sunscreens. Buy lotions that will suit you and if you want a cool effect, go for one that contains menthol. All in all, they will work well to give you a tan.
