Using a Tanning Bed Lotion

There are many people who use the services of a tanning bed to keep a healthy glow to their skin no matter what time of year it is.  When using a tanning bed, it is important to know what type of a bed is being used in the salon to ensure that the skin is being protected from harmful rays as much as possible.  Most of the beds that are used in salons and spas are the conventional type, which use bulbs that have the UVA rays, which are used in tanning, but also have the UVB rays which cause burning to the skin.  There are some high pressure beds available today that only have the UVA rays in them, thus providing a safer means of tanning.  These beds are more expensive to use, but they require less uses per month than the conventional beds since individuals only need to go about two times per month to maintain the tan, as opposed to eight to twelve times per month with conventional beds.

When going to a tanning bed, people will often buy the tanning bed lotions that are available in stores or in the salon.  These tanning bed lotions are designed to help the person to get the best tan over all of the body while still providing protection to the skin.  When going to a conventional tanning bed, the tanning bed lotion should have some protection in it, rather than just being a darkening lotion.
