Wrinkle-Free Tips for Aging Women
As women age, they may find that they feel less desirable and confident because of wrinkles on the face and neck line. Wrinkles are sometimes an unavoidable part of growing older and many women will try just about everything in order to retain the youthfulness of their skin. The truth of the matter is that wrinkles can begin to appear on the face during a woman’s twenties and will progressively get worse and more prominent as the woman ages. That is why it’s essential to prevent the onset of deep wrinkles before they even start. If you are in your twenties, it’s a good idea to begin incorporating anti-wrinkle treatments into your daily skincare routine.
Another way to avoid wrinkles is to try and avoid long exposure to the sun. Even though the sun’s rays give off valuable vitamin D that our bodies need, too much sun can actually be very harmful to the skin. In the worst case scenario, overexposure to the sun may cause melanoma or skin cancer. In the most simple and common scenario, routine overexposure to the sun will cause skin wrinkling and unsightly age spots. Before going out into the sun be sure to lather your skin with a good quality SPF lotion. The higher the SPF is, the more potent the formula is at keeping your skin protected.
Another tip to follow would be to keep your skin moisturized at all times. Dry skin has a tendency to wrinkle more than skin that is oily or well moisturized. You may also want to regularly use an alpha hydroxy acid that will help to slough off dead skin and keep the top layer fresh and clean. Certain lotions and moisturizers actually contain alpha hydroxy acid in small amounts. There are also creams specific to alpha hydroxy acid that are in higher concentrations. These should not be used daily because they may cause facial reddening and irritation.
